Do they spiral up and are the cars like cages? It all looks very cool.
They do spiral up.
The cars *are* like cages. (however they are solid on the inside, theyre just glass. you can'r see it unless the light catches it.
Thank you. I will have several more images of this, and a small animation to put in my presentation to show how they move.
WOW
I *SO* wish you and Steve were here to do the lights.... OH MAN...
those are amazing! and I am glad I won't have to ride them. I'm a wimp about elevators.
I don't like riding regular elevators. I have some bizarre thing about them. And yours being glass would make it worse. I actually went up 13 flights of stairs once so I could avcid riding in a glass elevator.
although, I did really like the inclinator at the Luxor in Vegas. (it goes sort of sideways-ish, up the pyramid)
btw, B'elf, showed this to Dr. S. and she went OMG about 6 times, and said, "is that going to be real? Can I ride it?"
Gorgeous concept. I'm trying to piece together the mechanics of it, but it looks very elegant. I'll bet it would be fascinating to be in one. What safety measures does a thing like that have?
