This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

........ Rebecca Solnit

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."
........ John Muir

"The bicycle is the most civilised conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart."
........ Iris Murdoch

People who I've known whose cats have had litters have all worried about leaving home day only to find that mamacat seems quite content to let them go. Maybe there's just a *righr* time for these things to happen. I'll certainly miss seeing them tho'. : (

Twiglet it seems you're right. I was so worried for Misha but all she did was sniff the cat basket that they went away with and examine the two humans who took them!

aren't you supposed to wait until they've pretty much finished feeding and their eyes aren't blue anymore before separating them? :/

OMGs they are so cute and perfect and black! I'm surprised you don't have homes for all of them. Good luck!

and humanrain - you are supposed to do it at 6 weeks and they're slightly older than that. They have been weaned, but like any small animal will still go for their mother's milk given half the chance. Interestingly while Misha does occassionally let them feed, she soon gets bored and moves away from them now, so all the indicators are good

21st May 2006, 04:23

Good to see you're home safe.

21st May 2006, 04:24

Dhamaka says:

thanks Geodyne for a great night

Note to Phoenix and Alfie. The trip home took less than an hour

Note to everyone else. The trip there took more or less two and a half hours.

Guess who navigated in each direction...

I love that bottom pic. Am soooo tempted to get a cat, just worried how my dog will react. Thought it was a no-go zone - but dog does seem to be adapting to my gran's cat (amazingly!) so maybe there is hope. Have you found a home for the third yet? Or will it be an addition to the family?

thanks Uber..
Mum says she's not sure, but they're going away for a couple of weeks and I'm cat sitting and she doesn't want there to be more disruption to them before she gets back. Can we let you know?

if, in the mean time you'd like to pop over and meet them, you're more than welcome

I had meant...addition to your family (often the last one to go ends up staying) but now....hmmmm. *ponders. Will discuss possibility with the women in my household (furry & not so furry) tonight. Thanks D. :)))
