i'm not sure i understand. whats going on in this picture? seriously? left in a church car park? jesus!

I found this scene in a car park behind a local church. I assume the statue used to stand in front of the building but it's now bust and probably expensive to restore, lying by the bins out back, partly wrapped but in effect unprotected from the weather now. A sad sort of sight but somehow there was a feeling that Jesus would suffer it all stoically and come out the other side in spirit at least if not physically.

i still can't believe it. a whole jesus on the cross, thrown away! i could probably get to muswell hill on the train but it would be an arse to get the lord jesus back home again.
