kostika says:

I love everything about this shot. Thanks Pheonix for letting me use your lense.

GregErin says:

I want one of those lenses!

22nd May 2006, 18:38

kostika says:

You're not the only one. BUt that lense costs more than my camera.

22nd May 2006, 19:30

GregErin says:

I am saving up for the 12.4 megapixel Nikon D2X, so a spiffy lense won't seem like much after that.

kostika says:

Go look at the price of a Nikon fisheye and say that.

And this was on my Nikon D70. Not a cheap camera :o)

22nd May 2006, 21:58

GregErin says:

That is a yeeeowwch!

Well, after getting my camera I'll be eating ramen for a year, so what is another couple months of that for a cool lense?

22nd May 2006, 22:07

kostika says:

Why are you getting that one? WHy not jsut get the D70 or D50? The Dx2 is a paid to do it professional photographer camera. (and overpriced at that)

22nd May 2006, 22:23

GregErin says:

I borrowed one from my friend and fell in love with it. It took the most amazing photos. I set my sights a bit too high, didn't I?

I want a camera that is over 8 megapixels. What do you recommend?

GregErin: It's not 8MP but I still suggest the D70 highly. The quality of the images is amazing and is as good as my manual cameras. Truthfully spending over £1k on a DSLR camera when you aren't a professional photographer is a waste.

Pheonix: Thanks mate.

GregErin says:

That certainly gives me something to think about.

kostika says:

When comparing the specs, speed and higher res are the only real big differances between a D70 and a Dx2. If you're not a professions photographer, I'd suggest the D70 or D50. Cost hell of alot less and really I seriously doubt you'll notice the minor differances.
