One can't just bake a cake, can one? First, you have to go out and learn to weld so you can make not just a support, but an entire support system. This sounds very familiar :)

well, it's kind of complicated - this is actually a graduation present for one of my students, and I'm not gonna say what it is yet, in case he wanders across this. (It's supposed to be a surprise). But yes, I will blog the process as it continues! (Up this weekend, baking copious amounts of cake!)
