Welcome to the official Moblog for Maximo Park - the Maximoblog.

This is where the band post photos of whatever takes their fancy that they think might be of interest to the wider public, from the mundane (backstage) to the spectacular (Archis' hair).

But they are not the only ones, as this Maximoblog is open to you!

Anyone who wants to send in a photo, whatever they feel relevant, we would love to see. The more the merrier, the more creative the better.

Hey! Check out my crappy pics. At! Strange! Angles! With! Loads! of
blurriness! Yay!
Note to fellow fangirls:
Hey Kids, don't prod your heroes in the arm and say 'aaaah'; it gets you no
satisfaction whatsoever.
Last night was a hearty box of awesome though. October has never seemed so
far away...

Are they coming round your way over the summer at all, heArtbeAt? I hope you get to see them soon. X

15th Jun 2006, 22:09

heArtbeAt says:

Yeah they're coming in july at the Dour festival! I should be going if everything's ok. Can't wait! But it'd be nice if they could do a "normal" gig as well...Well I won't ask too much :P xxx

15th Jun 2006, 22:19

Bound(p_bound-at-hotmail-dot-com) says:

Ah, you'll love it. I know what you mean though, headlining is obviously better than playing on a festival line-up, but they will most certainly be wonderful. It seems they are incapable of any less... :D

mynewtrenchcoat says:

That second picture is lovely, seeing Paul smile is even better. MP are great, life is great.
Yay.

Bound(p_bound-at-hotmail-dot-com) says:

I still can't quite believe I was there (or that I prodded Paul in the arm and scared him) are you new here, mynewtrenchcoat?(God, that sounded like a seedy thing to say)I'm not chatting you up or nuffink.

16th Jun 2006, 12:20

clara says:

Bound's gone all Cockney on us.

16th Jun 2006, 18:17

clara says:

I don't think Paul is smiling in the second pic. He's expressing
emotional anguish,and does it very
well.

17th Jun 2006, 15:52

clara says:

Poor chap,I really felt for him.

17th Jun 2006, 15:53

zagafeur says:

The arm! I did that to, Polly, no shame.

Would you lot believe it? Seriously, thursday my mouth started hurting...tooth ache. Humph.

17th Jun 2006, 20:23

clara says:

I'm going to the dentist end of the
month too. There's an epidemic of visits to the dentist around here.

17th Jun 2006, 20:31

clara says:

I really liked your shirt,Lukas,if you're reading this.Very stylish-it looked like silk.

17th Jun 2006, 21:08

zagafeur says:

Let's set upon him with a grey teddy!

17th Jun 2006, 22:29

clara says:

No that would be too aggressive.

18th Jun 2006, 10:17

clara says:

Unless you meant-set upon the dentist with a grey teddy!

18th Jun 2006, 10:41

zagafeur says:

It's not to late for Paul to be a dentist.

18th Jun 2006, 14:24

clara says:

Ha Ha that's very funny!!
Being a dentist's a ghastly job though-would you be one??I sure wouldn't.

18th Jun 2006, 14:35

zagafeur says:

Dentists are very suicidal. So I'd be a great dentist. Paul could be my assistant. There we are, sorted.

18th Jun 2006, 15:55

clara says:

Would you wear medical masks?
(If Paul's reading all this,he must be fascinated-or repelled).

18th Jun 2006, 16:22

mynewtrenchcoat says:

Late reply (@Bound): yes, I'm new here, that is: I never realised the moblog was used as a forum ;-)
And it was a nice question, not seedy ;-)

18th Jun 2006, 19:10

zagafeur says:

Paul would love it, all the white. Just best be careful not to fall down.

I suppose it is used a bit as a forum, the 'other' forum's a bit crap. But hello...how helpful of you to have 'new' in your name :p

18th Jun 2006, 23:54

Bound(p_bound-at-hotmail-dot-com) says:

Yeah, damn straight that was a late reply :P
And.. yeah, forums scare me, but this place has pictures and stuff so it seems safe... There's always a chance scary women might sound like they're coming on to you though... Post more, y'hear. We need nice people. X

19th Jun 2006, 07:59

mynewtrenchcoat says:

Thanks for the warm welcome, appreciate it! Might come back more often, at least for now I'll check back regularly cause my MP addiction has reached a peak since the gig (The Hague) 2 weeks ago.
I'm a scary woman too, by the way, but I'm really nice once you get to know me ;-)

19th Jun 2006, 09:48

clara says:

What were MP like in The Hague,
mynewtrenchcoat?

20th Jun 2006, 15:26

clara says:

They seem to be attracting alot more new fans.

20th Jun 2006, 15:35

mynewtrenchcoat says:

It was absolutely fantastic Clara. It's a small venue, I reckon a capacity of 500 or something (but I'm not good at numbers). And it was a festival, which means not everyone there was a hardcore Parkfan (I overheard some girls talking in the loo about how great they thought it was, not having seen MP before)
For me, it was the second MP gig I went to, and it exceeded expectations. I was spellbound for 75 minutes, just concentrating on the stage (and Paul ;-)) and I totally forgot where I was. Even my friends who tagged along and who aren't fans, where doing some serious bodyrocking.
I got the impression the band enjoyed playing there as well, I imagine it was kinda laid back for them, since they're not so big over here and all. They seemed relaxed and loose, if you know what I mean.
I could go on for hours but gotta get back to work (I'm typing this in the office, yay). Bye!

20th Jun 2006, 15:41

mynewtrenchcoat says:

Oh, didn't see your second comment; yes, I should think they are attracting new fans. I mean, everyone who attends a gig is an instant fan, I know I was.
(it's like the bloke says in the found on film documentary, near the end)
ok gots to go

doeg! (that's dutch for bye)

over here in the future.
