Yes, yes people I have emerged from my self realised obscurity to bestow knowledge on all headz. Used ta be out and about now strictly lying low dispensing wisdom.
Too much going down to stay quiet, now all of us have to rise up and speak truth to power.

There has to be more to us than dhal roti and Nokia phones...

Earthquake aftermath

Went to Balakot in da region of Mansehra in North West
Frontier province (NWFP) to see some of the devastation
caused by last years earthquake. Here a bridge collapsed
and it made supplies of aid so difficult to reach isolated
regions as roads were blocked and whole villages were
almost impossible to reach.

Tent villages in Balakot. Originally they were going to
rebuild da town now the the Pakistan gov has decided to
relocate da remaining residents to a new town.

From this pic you can see how a landslide has changed
the landscape. We listened to a local resident who lost
half his family in da disaster. Really wanted to see this
for myself and see what progress had been made (if any).
Depressing but also interesting to see how people have
adjusted and attempted to get on wit their lives.
