A few technical difficulties....

Hi peeps,
Well I have got myself a blog (sort of) at last .... have been having a few
technical difficulties so my first post will have to be a sketch ....... In
true mogblog tradition it is a pic of our cat, Trip, he came in this morning
covered in a (mysterious) fine grey powder ...... as I did not think it a
good idea for him to lick it off I thought I'd give him a quick going over
with the hoover.Hopefully next post will be a photo ......

Jenny says:

Hooray and congratulations you have a blog. Poor Trip, has he been rolling in cement or something? My mother used to hoover a dog they once had and he enjoyed it but both our cats flea when the vacuum cleaner appears.

paintist says:

Yay and about bloomin time...welcome!!!!!!!

23rd Jun 2006, 14:44

paintist says:

oops and i have to say it PP will have fun with the fact you have pink and cruelty to cats in your first blog!!!!!

23rd Jun 2006, 14:45

MaggieD says:

Yes at last - not sure how long it will last - have problems with the phone but when ITS (Inhouse Technical Support ie Dave) comes home maybe I can get it sorted.

23rd Jun 2006, 14:48

MaggieD says:

That hoover is RED!!!!!!!!!

MaggieD says:

Jenny - this is a carefully edited version of the incident - what it does not show is my foot (gently) holding Trip down. He really does not like the sound of the machine (my excuse for not hoovering as often as I should).

23rd Jun 2006, 14:53

paintist says:

couldnt you just put him under the tap?

23rd Jun 2006, 14:55

MaggieD says:

Actually I had to hold him down with one hand and hoover his coat with the suction set on low ..... honestly no cat was harmed in the making of this blog......

23rd Jun 2006, 14:58

MaggieD says:

Thought about hosing him down but we have a hosepipe ban .... the sink was full of washing up and an (unidentified) teenage boy was in the bath .....

23rd Jun 2006, 15:00

Euphro says:

Hello and welcome to MoblogUK, although I've seen your name lots of times on Alex's site :)

23rd Jun 2006, 15:21

Euphro says:

I love the drawing, by the way :D

23rd Jun 2006, 15:22

Geodyne says:

It has to be a bonus, finding unidentified teenage boys in the bath.

Great to see you finally got a moblog, Maggie. Welcome.

23rd Jun 2006, 15:30

MaggieD says:

Thank you all for your welcomes.
Euphro, Hi
Had to resort to drawing as, having set up the site, i found that I could not download the pic from my camera - hopefully a small technical hitch .....
Geodyne, Hi,
Finding teenage boys in the bath is more like a miracle than a bonus - they are not always known for their high standards of hygeine.....

silar31 says:

Yay! Welcome to mbuk! If you continue to have phone trouble, post a message about it on the support forum, someone might have the same phone and know how to manage it.

23rd Jun 2006, 15:48

MaggieD says:

Thanks Mandy ......
and Thanks Silar - hopefully my ITS, if he gets back from the pub before I go out, will get it sorted.... if not any passing teenager.......
and if all else fails I could try reading the manual ......

Dhamaka says:

Yes I have been lurking in the background for some time (a stalker?) ..... was always a bit in awe of yourself and Bronxelf .....

23rd Jun 2006, 16:46

Dhamaka says:

Hardly a stalker..
lol again
that's because you don't know me. But
B'elf on the other hand....

23rd Jun 2006, 16:48

MaggieD says:

Thanks Nige....
as to partying ..... I can do the frug ...... a little bit of twist and shout (but that might be the menopause) ...... and a nice cup of horlicks .........

yourhermione says:

Who isn't in awe of Dhamaka and Bronxelf? I know I still am. I feel like a LJ stalker half the time.

Yay that you got a moblog!!

23rd Jun 2006, 20:52

MaggieD says:

Thanks YH,
Is it the strength of their combined personalities or just so much corsettery that overwhelms us?

23rd Jun 2006, 21:02

yourhermione says:

Must be the personalities. I know people with more corsets, but they aren't the good people that D and Belf are.

23rd Jun 2006, 21:20

puddlepuff says:

A greay day in Moblog history!!!

Maggie D, WELCOME!!!

*kiss*kiss*kiss* as in good dutch tradition 3 smackers.

And the vacume cleaner is orange!! ;)

23rd Jun 2006, 21:32

paintist says:

ITS PINK!!!!!!!!!!

23rd Jun 2006, 21:33

MaggieD says:

Have to agree ..... maybe it is their stunning good looks, combined with the strength of their personalities, plus the corsettry, plus the fact that they are such all round lovely ladies that makes us take a step back ....

23rd Jun 2006, 21:36

MaggieD says:

and makes me just a tad jealous .....

paintist says:

thats my sort of technical knowhow as car is a green one, my phone is a samsung thingy........

23rd Jun 2006, 21:46

MaggieD says:

Ah. yes, well, got a bit ahead of myself the phone but did not have a passing teenager to tell me how it works......

23rd Jun 2006, 21:47

Jenny says:

I forgot to say that the drawing is recognisably really very like you. I know you are a multi talented person but i didn't realise that portraiture was another of your very many accomplishments.

23rd Jun 2006, 21:49

MaggieD says:

Thanks Jenny ..... but the strategicaly placed hankie helps....

23rd Jun 2006, 21:56

MaggieD says:
