ooh, is that how to take "growable" cuttings? would be nice to have some of these in our little garden

I don't know about taking cuttings from roses, not sure it'll work.
If you cut back the "finished" flower heads to where the first group of 5 leaves is growing, they'll flower again, and agian, untill it gets too cold, in about October.
