This is a really great shot, and you know just how much I adore children.

Getting this shot was the second-hardest so far. Honestly, the cats posed with less cajoling, so I gave up and just waited for natural moments. Discarded a few shots looking for a good one.

Actually, I didn't know how you felt about kiddies. This one is Ariel's eldest and the younger of the two grandboys.

You've known me all these years and never noticed my complete avoidance of children whenever possible? How did that happen?

24th Jun 2006, 22:01

twfarlan says:

See, I thought I knew that you avoided kids at all costs. I misread the intent of the original comment. Rather than reading the "how much I love kids" comment as a qualifier making the compliment on the shot "good despite the content," I read it as two statements.

BTW, "all these years?" What, like... two? (grin) Have you fallen into the trap everyone falls into, starting to remember a history with me that doesn't give with the objective timeline?

Seriously, that happens. Ali will say things like, "Remember Kate's 12th birthday party?" And I'm like, "Hon, Kate was like 20 when I met you."

bronxelf says:

Well two is MORE than long enough. Hell, ten minutes is long enough.

twfarlan says:

Ten minutes is long enough to know you don't like kids? Or to feel like I've been around forever? heh

24th Jun 2006, 22:35

bronxelf says:

The former. You still don't feel like you've been around forever.

So get this. Monster was sposed to be here about 4:15. 5:20 I call, and get him, apparently, in a cab on Central Park South.

Apparently his little stop on 86th St. to get a DVD became a Quest and now he's got godknowswhat with him. All I know is he bought Legos. I already told him that my house is FULL.

I'd say, "boys and their toys," but that's self-incriminating.
