This was a great shop. Now long gone, sadly. Note beautiful art-deco detailing in dire need of repair.

I want to be a freelance science consultant.

What are you now if you don't mind me asking?

Injured and (apparantly) untreatable, so signed off work for the foreseeable :(

My professional experience is mostly web development with a dash of IT systems admin, so that's probably what I'd be doing if I could, although any kind of problem-solving/engineering type thing would hold my interest. Unless I could get reliable amounts of circus work again, that's the best job I've had. My CV is here, if you're interested.

I would like to be a consultant/think-tanky type person who gets paid of lot of money to state the obvious, but then wouldn't we all.

They've now completely gutted that shop, think they're trying to keep the quaint old bits and getting rid of the thick layers of senile old mannish hoardingness that'd grown up around it.

I only asked because I wondered what 'science' you were 'into' :)

Advanced CSS

Jealous *sulks* I'm currently in the swearing while trying to learn CSS stages, lol.

just science in general. the whole shebang. I learnt the word 'polymath' at a very young age, and that was kinda what I aimed at. Sadly, the British university system doesn't really allow for that kind of thing (I was on seven different degree courses during my time at university, comp sci, english lit and electronic engineering were among them).

CSS only involves more swearing later - the more stuff you try and do, the more swearing you get.. :)

And here I was hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel where CSS is concerned!
