& B. We have a rodent. I'm guessing its a rat...cos whatever it is was big
enough to have to chew away to open up that hole, AND large enough to have
an entire health bar as a snack in one sitting. Hmmmpf..

paintist says:

mmmm.... the rodent does appear to have healthy teeth....hey welcome back !
The mice have reappeared here as well, but that looks bigger(!)

Thanks P. Really dont know how to get rid of the thing in a non-violent, natural manner. Traps just seem so cruel. And poison?? Can anyone rent me a cat??

hes a big fella! you could get the humain traps then take it away somewhere?

a cat would kill it and eat half and leave the other bit on your door step

If you have one - you may start to have many - they usually come from a crack or hole in the sewerage sytem into your house. My house was invaded by rats - in the end I had about 20 living in a void under the kitchen - they ate through everything - electrics the lot. Luckily they couldn't climb stairs. I eventually traced them to the corner of the house where the outside toilet had been removed years earlier and just a piece of hardboard used to plug the hole from the sewer into the old toilet outlet pipe. They ate their way through it. It took 3 days of digging to trace the connecting pipe into the house - once that was cemented (with broken glass to stop them eating through again) there were no more problems. The rats we had were the size of large kittens and they would have had any cat for breakfast...Just saying like ;)

Thanks for that gem Phoenix :)) Read that this morning, reminded me I actually DREAMT about the rats last night! That story has now totally freaked me out. Is my house going to turn into the sequel to 'Willard'?! (clicky)
Our dog, that's meant to be 'a born ratter' is clearly defective.I can hear them running about in the roof. Rat catcher only due tomorrow now. *shudders*
