Welcome to the the blog of Christopher Green. I've decided to jump on the band wagon and broadcast my life online based on the assumption that someone, somewhere will be bored enough to read it. I live and work in London and that forms the basis of most of my rantings

7/7 July was a day of sombre reflection in London

I was impressed by the quiet dignity of the survivors in the face of the shamefully inadequate compensation offered by this government. If we really want to honour the dead and injured instead of a two minutes silence lets persuade this corrupt government of ours not to undertake anymore illegal wars. Better still lets donate some money to the charities that look after the injured and families of the bereaved so they do not have to have any financial worries.

Terrorism is terrorism. Murder is murder no matter how you try to justify it. Whether its a confused young man determined to blow up himself and those around him in the mistaken belief that he will somehow get into heaven or an F15 dropping a bomb on an apartment in a 'targetted' assassination and killing a dozen civilians its all murder.

Nutcase Jihadists try to justify bombing a tube train full of people on their way to work by saying they all voted for a government that is pursuing wars with Islam. Well I can assure that a) not everybody who died on that train voted for Tony Blair and b) at the time of the general elections we were not in possession of all the facts of the Iraq war.

Politicians are quick to praise Londoners for their defiance of terrorists. Let me tell you we are not defiant, we are simply making our way to work on the tube with no viable alternative so that we can earn money to pay our bills. Tony Blair encourages us to go about our lives normally safe in the knowledge that he will never have to take the tube to work or go anywhere without an armed police escort. As always its the working man who suffers.
