but in PL "babki" means "girls", with meaning "whores" ;)
"babka" means "old lady".
Old russian paper money had the portrait of Catherine II printed on them. She wasn't young, hence money = babki
similar in polish "babcia" = old lady (like a babushka in ru), but you can also say - "fajna babka" means - "girl is cool"
