Yes, yes people I have emerged from my self realised obscurity to bestow knowledge on all headz. Used ta be out and about now strictly lying low dispensing wisdom.
Too much going down to stay quiet, now all of us have to rise up and speak truth to power.
There has to be more to us than dhal roti and Nokia phones...

That top photo is truly chilling, and if it's an Israeli propaganda photo it's even scarier.
Hizbullah are terrorists doing who terrorists do - and need to be stopped
Israelis are beingsent by politicians, who one always lives in hopes will make responsible decisions!
Both are wrong. Both have reasons for their points of view. Both are escalating the situation but the Israeli response is just so crude and cruel. Both are also escalating hatred.
One can only feel enormous sympathy for both sides.
Does bring to mind a children's poem and who would know better than the Irish?
there once were two cats of Kilkenny,
each thought there was one cat too many,
so they fought and they fit
and they scratched and they bit,
until instead of two cats -
there weren't any
this is just what is wrong what the solution is
- much more difficult
just clicked off my writing and seeing that young girl's face - so so sad
last night on - sky american kids living in Lebanon were being interviewed - male 11ish - and they repeated several times - its not funny - gives you a clue to their previous concept of war and violence - but now it's real
This situation has to be put into context. Hezbollah didn't start this war. Israel did. It killed seven members of a family on a beach in Gaza whilst they were having a picnic and this is what triggered the capture of soldiers by hamas and then hezbollah. In the longer term picture Israel holds 15000 innocent muslim prisoners (including women and children) who have been mistreated in some cases for up to 20 years without a trial. The solution is simple - a prisoner exchange. However the Zionists dont give a damn about their captured soldiers and instead exploited the situation inoreder to cripple and humiliate Lebanon and principally to deliberately slaughter innocent civilians. The unfortunate occurence of rockets being launched on israel is a consequence of Israel's bombings and the price the lebanese have to pay is horrific - just compare the casualties or hear the deeply distressing stories.
Furthermore the aspect that really hurts is the apparant lack of condemnation by muslim countries. This is due to the notion of secularism. There shouldn't be Turkish, Lebanese and Palestinian muslims or even shias or sunnis. Instead we all ought to be classified simply as muslims and be living in one islamic state as prescribed by our religion. These nationalistic identities we have is the reason why atrocities in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and Kosovo occur, Everyday our innocent brothers and sisters are being killed through our disunity and we must learn this. This war on terror is a war of politics and religion where all true muslims are branded as extremists and targeted. Syria, Iran and Pakistan feel will inevitably be targeted but then again if i was as egyptian muslim (which I'm not) why should i care about them? Ask yourselves - Is this really Islam? The ignorant will always believe the propoganda iniated by the evil neo-con pro-zionist governments that are the US and Israel on the typical muslim. Its about time we all woke up and faced te chilling reality that exist today.
We should care about them all and we should certainly expect politicians to behave responsibly
As an individual I feel powerless - but hate of one nation for another, one religion for another is what is fuelling so much agression and killing in the world - add to that power and greed
Israel has got a lot to answer for as have all the other powers that support her - we could rant for ever
And as you say this is not Islam - it's not Judaism either - peace and love - lost..

The top pic is just wrong. Embroiling kids in that is a transgression against innocence. What future hope of peace is there should the orphans of those missiles me their autographer?
Besides, who's ever truly heard of a nation being bombed into submission? There's only one i can think of and that should never happen again.
VIv,i can´t be more agree whit your first message. The poem about the cats is simple but smashingly clear and wise. It´s not by chance that it´s irish. My absolute sympathy for people in both sides that don´t want this war(altough i think nobody wants ever a war,but they do happen witch it should be" food for thought"....).
Must say this statement worries me just as much

yes the national identities can be what cause the problems but until we recognise all creeds and nationalities as brothers as sisters where's the hope?
I have to admit the top pic with israeli kids writing on bombs is chilling.
Not only does it stir the sense of horror and disgust, but also utter frustration.
I agree with Viv and Jebediah.
Thoughtful comments indeed.
Hope and pray the conflict will come to an end soon.
