Every year we have a thing here called Bard on the Beach. Essentially a
Shakespeare play in a tent on the beach, with the mountains and sea
acting as a backdrop. They've designed it so that the sunset casts a
glow on the stage about half way through. This was at a particularly good performance of A Midsummer Nights Dream.
BElf would have liked it; every actor was wearing converse trainers...

Yeah, we thought of you BElf!

I love seeing plays put on outside. I've seen some really great outdoor productions at the Ashton Memorial in Lancaster and at the St Augustine abbey ruins in Canterbury.

That looks like s stunning place to see a show, I bet it was superb.

swamprose says:

really? the RAB is staying on?
and you guys are coming back to ski? : D

Yup. I've been here almost 2 years now Swamprose, so I think "we" is appropriate now. I even watch the Canuks hockey matches and everything! I'm trying to wangle an extra year or two on to my work permit, depending on whether I'm still in favour with my boss, so I'll probably even have the accent when I leave. There's noo doot aboot it, eh? ;oP

You should definitely look into skiing here Crickson!

What? Scottish?

Yes, I'd love to come back next year for the skiing. In fact I'll start putting money aside as soon as I have some spare!
