I just bought it too :(at least it was fairly cheap, buying it as I was, sure in the knowledge that
it would get nicked eventually; I didnt expect it to be within 5 days
though.

Eep, that sucks. :/

Might want to invest in a stronger lock for the next one...

2nd Aug 2006, 13:08

Alfie says:

I had a crappy lock because it was a crappy bike, learnt my lesson now though. bastards.

2nd Aug 2006, 13:19

mat says:

Bastards indeed. Get a unicycle next time, people tend to nick those less....

2nd Aug 2006, 13:23

swamprose says:

so sorry. had mine stolen too. got a huge expensive lock with a key, and so far all good. bike thieves are the lowest.

2nd Aug 2006, 13:36

Steve says:

Most expensive locks also come with insurance for the bike... never had to test it though.

2nd Aug 2006, 13:57

bike thieves all over the place here - i've noticed that if they're determined enough, the size and quality of the lock rarely matters. like the idea of insurance with the lock though.

2nd Aug 2006, 14:09

goonflower says:

That really sucks, so sorry!

2nd Aug 2006, 14:33

seaneeboy says:

Fucknuts.

Sorry to hear it dude. Had mine nicked 2 days before moving house. Actually it was a blessed relief, I was fucking knackered.

2nd Aug 2006, 14:51

my old house mate had one of them locks. it had a garentee if the bike got stolen and you could prove it, ie police number or what have you. they would replace the bike. t'was and excelent idea.

2nd Aug 2006, 14:53

crickson says:

Sh*t - bad luck mate.

2nd Aug 2006, 14:54

silar31 says:

That *sucks*. Little bastards need strung up by the nuts.

2nd Aug 2006, 15:29

Hahhaa! Only five days! I recall you saying only last week that you wanted a new one. You have to maglock bikes to the ground in this city - unless you get a really shit bike then they leave it. I did once see a lock that held steady but the cuntbags had beat the shit out of the bike - precisely because they couldn't get the lock off.

2nd Aug 2006, 16:22

Euphro says:

Oh dear, bad luck Alfie :(

2nd Aug 2006, 17:37

Joe says:

rubbish!....I had mine knicked once WITH a decent lock....the bastards used bolt croppers to cut the railings I'd locked it too...

2nd Aug 2006, 17:46

kostika says:

ANy way to secure it indoors?

2nd Aug 2006, 17:50

Caine says:

Damn rotten luck, Alfie. :( My last bike had quick release wheels, so I could lock up my bike and take my front wheel with me.

2nd Aug 2006, 20:26

EVILMINK269 says:
