I'm a big fan. Needed to read A Scanner Darkly so I can scoff properly at the film when it comes out, and this collected edition was only a fiver second-hand from Amazon.

I've just seen A Scanner Darkly and enjoyed it more than I thought I might. I won't say anything more until you've seen it too.

I've heard good things about the film, but there's been a lot of Dick's films which have been ruined by Hollywood missing the main point of the story (Minority Report, Total Recall and Bladerunner all spring to mind). Am remaining open minded.

I quite like Bladerunner.

I should read more Dick. It's been a while since I've read any of his books and Iknow we've got bunches around the house.

Bladerunner's a bit arse, IMHO. But Dick is divine, quite literally.

I detest Bladerunner. I hate it so much it's one of two films that I haven't managed to see through to the end despite a few attempts (the other being a strong contender for worst film ever made, Kenneth Branaghghahahah's Hamlet). It completely misses the main point of 'Sheep, and there was no reason for it to do that.

But we won't get in to how much I hate Bladerunner and how much I love Do Androids Dream here. It's very old ground. :)

OJ - that one was the least of it. Titles for this photo write themselves. :)
