a nice random image to get you started:

i now have a FLICKR page too!

"why would a reviewer make the point of saying someone's *not* a genius? do you especially think i'm *not* a genius? you didn't even have to think about it, did you?"

"monkeys are superior to men in this: when a monkey looks into a mirror, he sees a monkey.”

"i am secretly afraid of animals.... i think it is because of the usness in their eyes, with the underlying not-usness which belies it, and is so tragic a reminder of the lost age when we human beings branched off and left them: left them to eternal inarticulateness and slavery. why? their eyes seem to ask us."

"we've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of shakespeare. thanks to the internet, we now know this is not true..."

african monkey proverb: "the day the monkey is destined to die, all the trees get slippery."

"i'll buy a bunch of monkeys, dress them up, and make them re-enact the civil war"

bloody storms woke me up at 5 this morning, couldn't get back to sleep, so i decided to watch a film...

and boy! what a film!

paintist says: do look tired :-(

was it good...can we do swapsies or is it a rental?
blame Joe for the weather, my phone is flooded in my pocket...soooooo much rain...

i was/am tired. but it was actually quite nice being awake in the storm.

the film was fantastic - if you liked the thin red line, then i think you'll like this. if, however, you thought that TRL was slow and boring, this'll be a dissappointment. how anyone could think that they're slow and boring, i don't know, but there are some weirdos out there.

it may take me a while to watch mirror though - my housemates aren't exactly into that kind of film - the reason i decided to watch new world this morning was because they kept whining when i wanted to watch it.

18th Aug 2006, 11:05

D - i'm going to the pub, so i'll sleep like a baby... : )

funny - i was just reading that too...

the rain god is not alone in craving those particular commodities though!

i'm not much better today, if i'm honest, although its entirely self inflicted. i'm getting no sympathy from workmates.

Dhamaka says:

19th Aug 2006, 11:26

Dhamaka says:

try vitamin B complex. It should help with the effects of the hangover

19th Aug 2006, 11:32

does a mars bar and a big swig of warm white wine count as vitamin B complex?

coz if it does, i'm way ahead of you...

I liked The Thin Red Line but thought The New World was absolute crap. It was the founding of the new world told in dream time, ack. I'm surprised it didn't put you to sleep ;-)
