A sad day in Dogtown

Frankie, our family's Dachshund of many years passed away Wed.
evening. These were the unposted pictures I had left on my phone.

She didn't suffer and her last few days were spent happily at the
beach house, sitting outside with my mom. She was on heart and pain
pills, and would spend most of the day sleeping, but whenever my
parents took her out to their house on the bay, it was like she was a
puppy again. Running down the steps to the beach, sitting on her
towel or on someone's lap, acting like a Alpha guarding her
territory from strangers.

She was a good dog, and we'll miss her terribly.

More pictures of Frankie here.

Poor you guys... A nice tribute to her though, these pics of a trim & still elegant little dachs seeing out her dog days in comfort, enjoying her place on the beach & her pack ... Obvious how happy & loved she was - look at her go on those steps! :)
