"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
Dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."

I saw this rather odd looking creature in the back garden this afternoon.
It's about the size of a ladybird / ladybug, but sports a rather fabulous art
deco style outfit!
Anyone know what it is?

OK, so the bug people got back to me and the mystery is solved. It's a "Neacoryphus bicrucis" or "Whitecrossed Seed Bug". And I shall endeavor not to be so nerdy in future posts!
