i now have a FLICKR page too!

"why would a reviewer make the point of saying someone's *not* a genius? do you especially think i'm *not* a genius? you didn't even have to think about it, did you?"

"monkeys are superior to men in this: when a monkey looks into a mirror, he sees a monkey.”

"i am secretly afraid of animals.... i think it is because of the usness in their eyes, with the underlying not-usness which belies it, and is so tragic a reminder of the lost age when we human beings branched off and left them: left them to eternal inarticulateness and slavery. why? their eyes seem to ask us."

"we've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of shakespeare. thanks to the internet, we now know this is not true..."

african monkey proverb: "the day the monkey is destined to die, all the trees get slippery."

"i'll buy a bunch of monkeys, dress them up, and make them re-enact the civil war"

i still love the second one! how much would it cost to get quite a big print of that say A3? will it go that big?

29th Aug 2006, 17:04

it probably be cheap enough, but (excuse my language) FUCKING difficult. you can't imagine the level of burning in that sky takes.

actually on second thoughts, A3 might be tricky. it would be grainy as hell.

scanning might be a better idea, but i know no-one with a film scanner. i'll check the existing scans i have, and see how big they'll go.

29th Aug 2006, 17:08

do you have the neg? as i have a film scanner, but if you know someone that would probably be best, or would it be possible to take it to a photo place?could they do it?

29th Aug 2006, 17:09

i'll send you the negs. and maybe steal into your house to use your scanner.

is it a flatbed with a hood adaptor, or dedicated? when did you get it? why was i not made aware?

29th Aug 2006, 17:11

its a flat bed with a little ting you put over with a light in! i have had it about two years.won a pub quizz as a house we got like £200 and split i (£50 each) so i brought me a scanner. if you want me to scan any negs send them and ill do it for ya and send you a cd or summit.

29th Aug 2006, 17:13

oooooh. tempting.

i'll dig the negs out and i'll post em over. if you want any others, now's the time to ask...
