i now have a FLICKR page too!

"why would a reviewer make the point of saying someone's *not* a genius? do you especially think i'm *not* a genius? you didn't even have to think about it, did you?"

"monkeys are superior to men in this: when a monkey looks into a mirror, he sees a monkey.”

"i am secretly afraid of animals.... i think it is because of the usness in their eyes, with the underlying not-usness which belies it, and is so tragic a reminder of the lost age when we human beings branched off and left them: left them to eternal inarticulateness and slavery. why? their eyes seem to ask us."

"we've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of shakespeare. thanks to the internet, we now know this is not true..."

african monkey proverb: "the day the monkey is destined to die, all the trees get slippery."

"i'll buy a bunch of monkeys, dress them up, and make them re-enact the civil war"

swamprose says:

it's still birkenstock weather? fat ducks and amorous caterpillars make for a good day.

11th Sep 2006, 11:33

in monkeyland, its always birkenstock weather. but we did have a little heat wave down here over the weekend - it was something like 26 degrees yesterday...

11th Sep 2006, 11:38

11th Sep 2006, 11:39

that was me, obviously. for some reason, i keep getting logged out : (

11th Sep 2006, 11:41

were you in a yellow car? i like the dog and swan shots. all these off your phone cam?

11th Sep 2006, 12:05

yeah the little yellow destroyer.

and yes, all of these are from the trusty phone-cam

11th Sep 2006, 12:10

they are quite good shots from the razor

11th Sep 2006, 12:15

they're not bad are they? i tweaked things like contrast on the 'puter, but otherwise, its all razr

11th Sep 2006, 12:19

im impressed. wich version of the razor is it ? i always thought the first gen ones were really poor cameras.

11th Sep 2006, 12:26

its the one after - the V3i i think...

EDIT: whatever it is, its got a 1.3 hoogafloxel camera in it.

11th Sep 2006, 12:26

yeah mine has a 1.3mp cam in and the images all come out grainy as anything unless i have it on top notch everything and then i can take many photos or send more than one at a time.

on another note, have you seen 'lords of dogtown'(the documentary or the actuall film?

11th Sep 2006, 12:32

my phone is set to 'middle' on every setting - i think it essentially means my pics are vga, rather than 1.3 wongawaxels, but i have no complaints. they are always a bit grey though, and the colours sometimes go a bit wappy.

on another note, i've seen both the film and the documentary. they're both good, but they do sorta end up being the stacy peralta show after a while...

11th Sep 2006, 12:38

i have mine set one vga or 640 x 480 bit crap really.i want a new upgrade soon.

they film was good but i watched the documentary first and really liked it so got the film and it was good but they are not to be compared toeach other as there are some differences as well the film is an american dramatisation of the events,

i see what you mean by the stacy peralta show.

11th Sep 2006, 12:41

yeah, with dramatisations you always have to have lots of salt ready to take pinches of, but i thought it was ok.

really getting into your skating biz now, with the whole fallen angel thing?

i can imagine a sponsored team now - bmal's fallen angels....only in my head they're all scantily clad buxom laydeez

11th Sep 2006, 12:55

lol. no ive always wanted to watch the documentary and the film so i got my self a cory of each and watched them.

im doing a board for swany (martins bro) and hes gonna get some shots of him using it, hes got himself a little band and their publisits likes the skating angle so it might get used there too, its looking good.

11th Sep 2006, 13:06

i'm telling you man, you need the laydeez

11th Sep 2006, 13:14

well yes if i meet any lovely laydeez that can skate i will ask them
