My neighbourhood theatre. It has double seats for loving couples, a great snack bar. Photos in bottom shot by Danny Beaton, who is on the right of the middle picture.

I like the neon sign.
if it is a ef-s 17-85 lens there is an image stabilizer there. It should get you a sharp picture on wide angle without the flash as well.

hi bfish. I went early. I feel shy with that big camera in front of people. The theatre was full for the film, and it was a good audience. I have been trying everything out, pushing things to extreme, and reading the manual. I need a tripod for what I want to do.

how can you tell what lens it is?

Mandy. says:

hey there, one-with-new-camera. You're probably tired of getting advice, but I advise a ball head tripod. It may cost a little more initially, but you may save in the long run by not buying 2 smaller, cheaper ones like I did...

Mandy. says:

It'll say on the rim around the edge of the lens maybe?

Mandy. says:

Oh my Swamprose, is that a Canon EOS 30D? Good show indeed! :D

swamprose says:

sorry guys. I wasn't logged in. I love the camera. I have taken so many photos that my battery is almost gone. you guessed right, bfish, but I am surprised you guessed right because that is not the lens that comes with the kit. I went for this one because it has metal, not plastic, screw attachment--not going to break.
Mandy--will take your advice. My family is on notice to get me one for Christmas. if I can wait that long.

swamprose says:

probably right Ruthie. There is a monthly Rocky Horror event, and lots of small unusual film festivals. but no snow--yet.

I don't know much about cameras but I like the seating for couples in the theater. "Two thumbs up"
