I got free tickets to see the Canadian Football (pretty much American
football with random other rules). Never watching either, I wasn't
really sure what was going on but it was a good laugh. The first two
shots are taken on ground level; I got to wander around the grounds
before kick off, and watch the cheerleaders practice :)

I know it's not the point (probably) but the geometry of that top shot is lovely.

is that one of these new fangled inflatable roofs?

Mandy. says:

Inflatable? how cool is that? (that's a rhetorical question, as I realize the insulating properties of such a roof would be very good)

The roof looks like a giant duvet!

treading on hallowed ground RAB. differences between Can. and Am. culture are sacred...even if you don't football, which I don't either..

Ooooooh, fab! Like a bouncy castle. ;) The 2nd pic for me.

Oooh! Thanks for the highlight!

It's a permanent inflatable roof. I think it's not that new fangled though. It looks like a big marshmallow from the outide. Its main use if football, but they also do other stuff.

Swampy> I know; I wasn't trying to say they're the same thing. There's not much difference in the rules between the two games though. And as a Brit who thinks it all looks like rugby that stops every 2 minutes featuring guys in big soft padding, it all seems a bit weird. I admit though, it was good fun watching.
