I am married to Spiderbaby and live in Banbury, Oxfordshire after eight years living in the USA and Sweden. I am working and training as a clinical scientist for the NHS in Oxford.
There are now over ten years of photographs on my blog! It all started with a photograph I took on the 1st of May 2004... It's been a wonderful journey, thank you all who have shared it with me, and made this blogging community one I keep coming back to!
Interesting things I read recently:
"Only one in five people born [in the UK] since 1975 believes in God".
Source: Prof David Voas, University of Essex
"For every dollar invested in the Human Genome project, $141 was returned to the US economy". Francis Collins, NIH
Source: New Scientist 27 July 2013.
I am Pavlovs_dog on PSN and would be happy to link up with Playstation-owning mobloggers : )
Too Much Information: The first album I ever bought was the Fraggle Rock soundtrack. Pretty cool, eh? I was only 16 : )
maybe a little. The one in Manchester probably has a lot less weirdos on crystal meth hanging around it though.
But the restaurant was rubbish?
Bloody awful. I'm pretty sure my food had been microwaved, the way it was warm on the outside and nuclear on the inside...
and i had to get a sandwich from M&S; when we got back to leeds
M'cr Chinatown is very depressing eating. For your next visit, there's a not too shabby noodle bar in a basement on Albert Square called Tampopo. I've had better noodles & way better service there than in any Wagamama...
i hate going to chinatown, because we can hardly ever find a decent place, and the few places i have been too weren't the best.
theres a great place called fuzion just a bit out of the centre in fallowfield. studen central galore but is just like wagamamas and a bit cheaper too. its awesome!
we have been to Tampopo many a time in Leeds it is always lovely. And as for fuzion, i believe Daughter No. 1 is taking us there when we visit her in studentland - or we may hit the currymile instead
Generally I really enjoy going out in Manchester, I think we were just unlucky this time. Maybe we should have a manchester moblog meetup sometime soon - up for it spongevid?
manchester meet-up manchester meet-up!! why it would be fantastic!!! i for one, shall be there*
* providing its during uni term time
also, FF, personaly i'd say fuzion beats curry mile. but then i'm not huge on eating in curry houses, coz err...i get fed upof indian food all the time. heh.
though if you do go to curry mile, don't go to shere khan (i think its that, shere something anyway) horrible unhygenic creatures were discovered there recently!
