Hi, I'm Rick also known as Mr. C. I used to shoot with a Canon SLR, but that was a long while back. I got a new camera, an Olympus SP-510UZ on 11/06/06. I've added a Nikon D90 with a 55-200 lens to my camera bag in 2010. I'll get a camphone if Almont ever enters the 21st century.
I'm now shooting with a brand new Nikon D90 with a 55-200mm VR lens.

Thank you very much, D.! Only 10 minutes into the golden hour. I've always liked that church, but I didn't have a camera before. :)
It was built circa 1890, maybe earlier, as is still lovingly maintained, with a dedicated congregation. (I see them on my way home from work on Sunday morning.)
Beautiful, beautiful, lighting and colour. Are you *sure* that church is real?
Only joking, it's just so well lit it's practically cinematic.
If it isn't, I have one heck of an imagination! It's very "North Dakota". Thanks!
Well worth a highlight. In my mind, this is where the folks from American Gothic (the painting) go to church....
Hahahaha! Too right. Darn, I'm going to have to remember to start carrying a pitchfork. Thanks! :)
Pffffffft. You've been blogging a week and got a HL? I should be jealous. I'm really, really chuffed. And proud. Great shots. I'll see you this afternoon. :)
well look at that. a HL. and it is a great shot. one of those places you pass and know is kept up and one day will just be gone.
I hope that church makes it another 100 years. Around here, it probably will too. Thanks!
That is a beautiful picture. It looks like a friendly place to worship.
with OJ it doesn't look real - missed the HL as we were on hols or I would have found you sooner!
