We just bought 2 new knives for the kitchen, even at half price they were
obscenely expensive, but they're possibly the sharpest things I've ever
handled (and I worked as a butcher during my summers at uni)...I'm
considering shaving with the small one tomorrow.

Niiice. I class Global as 'affordable' now, but that's after spending some time (and money) at the local Kasumi/Wusthof/Kyocera stockist.. :)

Mmm. The balance on those things is lovely too.

We're currently using what seems to be the knife of choice for murderers at the moment. I doubt they're putting that on the packagaing though.

Nice!

I treated myself to 10" and 14" Sabatiers recently. Global are great blades, but I find the handles don't sit well in my hand. Pity, they're such gorgeous knives.

If you do shave, blog the result!

Seaneeboy, it does make you wonder what kind of schonky training they give Special Constables if she didn't know not to arm herself with a knife...
Global are very nice kitchen knives though... :)
