This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

........ Rebecca Solnit

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."
........ John Muir

"The bicycle is the most civilised conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart."
........ Iris Murdoch

"Photography for me is not looking, it's feeling. If you can't feel what you're looking at, then you're never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your picture...."

he's at that age where he's not sure whether to chase or make friends with everything..

It was quite nice today

Sprocket says:

Looks like a mischievous little kitty.
Lovely to see such colour in the garden this late in the year.

JokerXL says:

Another great bottom-shot D, the eyes!

mtn_hermit says:

Looks like the weatherman calls for sunny with a mild chance of being stalked by a cat.

7th Oct 2006, 20:55

Lovely cat!

Dhamaka says:

Sprocket - thanks, the garden's doing well and he's actually not that mischevous

Joker - thank you. The eyes are the easiest way to tell him from his mother too
*thinks of other bottom shots, restrains herself

mtn_hermit - nice one *giggles

sharon - yes he is but I still prefer Misha (his mother)

the laser glance from those eyes
It has been sunny here too...really lucky with the weather for October aren't we :-)

7th Oct 2006, 22:57

Jigalong says:

Nice picture, specially the bottom one. Now, two observations. That grass sure grows quick for this time of year, and is that a bird bath that I see in the top shot? (TLH)

7th Oct 2006, 23:12

Dhamaka says:

indeed paintist - expect more cat blogging because they'll be staying with me for a week or so soon

Jigalong - yes it does, and it has been too wet to mow the lawn recently. And yes it is a bird bath - Mother wanted one a few years ago and the birds liked it for a while too...

7th Oct 2006, 23:30

Geodyne says:

His eyes match the grass - and the bottom shot really does look as though you're about to be punced upon!

Dhamaka says:

Tarka has his father's eyes. I've just been out with the father. That tom cat used to be someone's pet but must have moved a long way away to be with Misha. He turned feral and is not very trusting of humans but today marks a big step in my plans... because although he won't let me get close yet, he took food from me for the very first time :-)

8th Oct 2006, 13:11

Geodyne says:

That's wonderful. It's a big step indeed.

8th Oct 2006, 13:31

Dhamaka says:
