nige says:

12th Oct 2006, 10:59

Joe says:

Steve, yes thats the custom paint job, it always looks like that.

Nige, really?...I had one before this, in silver, an older shape, and much faster.....it's difficult to buy a car that offers a better driving experience for the same price...can't bring myself to buy the clone golf or audi that everyone seems to be driving.

12th Oct 2006, 11:06

Joe says:

funny, it looks black in these pictures, it's actually very very dark metallic blue.

12th Oct 2006, 11:07

nige says:

i hear you Joe. i think thats why it's such a lusted after car. one of my buddies has SE WRX version in what i can only describe as a metallic baby blue. i must say, they're not for me, but i do like that colour.

at any rate, it must make your commute a little more fun... :)

Geodyne says:

Woo, purdy!

I'm so very envious. I've been missing my Subaru lately, and wishing I could get myself another...

When I do, it will be my fourth.

12th Oct 2006, 11:26

Joe says:

Ah Geo, you have good taste, I come from a family of subaru owners, my mum had this one, and my previous one before me, my dad had the wagon version, and my aunty has a new WRX :)

Geodyne says:

I've not had a WRX.

I used to own a very old sports wagon, then I had a Leone (the precursor of the Liberty) and when I killed that we bought one of the first models of the Forester. The ex still has that, it's a brilliant. car. Drove it all the way around Australia.

12th Oct 2006, 16:53

Dhamaka says:

Joe says:

I think it's a he....not sure yet....I stopped naming my cars after the demise of Frank the Fiesta many years ago...I might name this one though....suggestions?

I'll try to do a recording of the exhaust note, but I'm not sure the mic on my phone is up to it :)

12th Oct 2006, 17:41

pahtlor says:

oooooo, I want one. While I'm sure it's nippy, it's surely no match to the experience you get at the wheel of my 1.2 Polo(!) :D But I guess I get all the benefits of a small engine, like £1200 insurance.......oh, wait a minute..... :P

12th Oct 2006, 21:36

silar31 says:

That's lovely, Joe. My folks are on their third Subaru, they swear by them. I am hoping my next car will be a Subaru - the all-wheel drive really helps save the sanity in New England winters!

JokerXL says:

Nice choice guys!
I love the Impreza's sound.
;-)

13th Oct 2006, 22:49

Should the name begin with an 'I' for Impreza or 'S' for Subaru though? .... hmmmm 'Iggy', 'Imogen', 'The Imp', 'Stella', 'Simeon'..... can you tell my brain has shut down due to night-shiftiness?.....

*goes for the matchsticks
