paintist says:

this poor bird was sucked up under a car and blown out the other side....he has a graze to the skin on his head, hardly any wing feathers, and onlt two tail feathers left.... He is strong and eager to get out of the box, but will be prey to any passing cat...or long will I have to keep him till his feathers grow back, and what would be the best environment....he can't stay in the box can he?

Uber Spy says:

Mmmm. Maybe you should take him to the vet on Monday? They'll know what to do. Poor little guy.

seaneeboy says:

Yes, what Uber says. Some feathers can grow back, but some don't which can mean they lose their flight - but it just depends on how bad the damage is. Vet'll certainly know.

The RSPCA will collect him & take him to a bird sanctuary, or will give you directions if there's one nearby. They took a jay off me in similar circs.
