We sat down hoping for a nice meal, unfortunately it got off to a bad start when the waitress tipped a full glass of red wine down my front soaking my shirt and jeans... as i left to get changed i heard the waitress discussing the ordeal with the manager... on my return we had been moved to another table...No Appology. We ordered our meal... Still No Appology,
the meal arrived savagely under cooked, my steak was so raw it wasn't even bleeding. We finished our meal...Still No appology!
Finally without stopping, the waitress walked passed our table and dropped our bill on the table muttering 'I deducted £10 from your bill' .... but still no appology!

We retired to the bar where there was still no appology and no Vodka at 8pm on a saturday night....... and no appology from the Manager...

The Moral of the story... either:

A: I'm an uncontrollable Whinger
or
B: Beefeater employ Crap Managers, crap Cooks, Crap Policies and finally Crap Bar keeps....

In short if possible STAY AWAY!!!

hildegard says:

The word "Beefeater" is code for, "Purveyors of poisonous lard. Lousy service guaranteed." On the whole, I think it's good of them to display the warning so prominently...

Geodyne says:

Ack, not a good evening.

I rather suspect the moral of the tale is the latter of the two options...have you learned your lesson?

Mr spoonlamp should be up and unning soon as he has his own lap top now, so you'll probably be seeing lots of camels soon!

spoon_lamp says:

the moral here is THE BEST WAY TO STOP THE SPREAD OF CHAIN STORES/PUBS/RESTAURANTS ETC IS TO DENY THEM YOUR TRADE, SPEND YOUR MONEY IN A SMALL INDEPENDENT ESTABLISHMENT

Twiglet says:

I find it hard to believe you gave them that much of your business AFTER the wine spilling incident. (Good job it wasn't soup.) I trust you are going to make a written complaint to the chain.

Beginning to wonder if the hostile clumsy waitress was in fact a bitter ex girlfriend of yours in which case she had probably (at least) sneezed on the meal as well.......
