My demon possessed computer got an upgrade. Nothing but the best for my
mean little bitch.

NVidia GeForce FX 245MB memory vid card
2GHZ CPU with the world's biggest heatsink
512 MB RAM

She's all shiny now. I like upgrading my puter.

(yes my computer is a female demon. No she doesn't have a name. I jsut know how mean and ornery she is. So she has to be female and demon posessed)

My computers are all female, but not demon possessed.

I can tell where your demons are coming from, it's right there in the second photo.. I recommend an exorcism : )

As much as I like Linux, it doesn't lend itself to things like playing games or using a majority of programs.

I wavered for a few days with my new desktop, in the end I dual booted, I have xp and SuSE 9 on the same machine...I figure that if I at least use linux regularly it wil force me to learn about it, until I'm at the point where I can sack windows completely.

I've run dual boots. I know how to use linux rather well. But like I've already mentioned, it doesn't lend itself to doing much that isn't security related.

Yeah, I hear that. I don't play games any more (rsi - boo!), so Linux has almost everything I need (I still use Windows for Photoshop and Fireworks). I do dual boot, but I mostly choose to run Debian linux.

I like the way linux isn't annoying*, has tonnes of useful tools that you simply can't get for windows, and it lets me do what I want, the way I want it. It's nice to be safe from all the nasty security holes in windows as well. I totally accept it's not for everyone - it is your machine after all!

* OK, not as annoying. After a few years practice. : )

I still play games and there are many programs I need windows for. So linux is useless for me. I like it, but its jsut not practical.

I've been using Windows for so long that I'm just comfortable with it. -shrug- Learned Linux but I've since learned that the GUI wasn't the best, so I shall withold judgement. ^^

Games run on windows. Programs run on windows. Things work with windows in general. No need to switch. Linux has its uses, jsut not for me.
