In my past professional lives, I have been a salesman, an auto mechanic, a draftsman, a security guard, a cartographer of cemeteries, and a Russian, Serbian, and Croatian Linguist whilst in the Army. Now, I have found my calling in life, hence the architectural student status. I am in my 5th and last year of schooling to get my Bachelors of Architecture.

For those that have asked, I am from Tennessee and always will be, regardless of what state I am currently residing, hence the TN in my name.

Standing Glass Fish - 1986 - Frank Gehry

This is the first work by Frank Gehry I like. It is a pure sculpture, with
no other reason for existence shoe-horned into it, unlike most of his
buildings. It's purity is what makes it work in my mind.
The story behind it that when Frank Gehry was a child, his grandmother
bought live carp on Thursdays to make into gefilte fish on Fridays. She'd
let the fish swim around in the bathtub overnight, where Gehry would play
with them. This memory inspired him to create Standing Glass Fish a
22 foot high construction of glass, wood, and steel that rises out of a lily
pond among the palms in the main space of the conservatory.
