I like fairy lights myself but you don't strike me as the kind of guy who would be putting the Chrimbo lights up in November mat....
the only christmas decoration I can remember putting up at all in the last four or five years is 20cm of green tinsel on the inside of the door to the understairs cupboard.
these are just making a previously gloomy corner look nice.
Very nice. I keep the white lights up all year 'cos they give a nice glow.
that reminds me - i must put up my white lights in my murky corner.
