I like a lot the two first closer shots. They are blury (I got so nervous
when he came nearer and pose for me) but I like them. And the last one is
one of my favourites, actually it is my screensaver.Hope you like it, dont wanna bore you

vic says:

thanks elena for your review of the gig it is very welcome. I like to hear how the park are doing when they are abroad your english is very good im sure none of us here could go onto a spanish site and make ourselves understood, and well done paul for making the effort (good or bad) to speak to people in their own language im sure lots of people would be to scared of being ridiculed to make the effort

18th Nov 2006, 10:31

vic says:

ps your pictures are so good . dont worry about posting them i think we may be a bit starved of pictures and news till spring

18th Nov 2006, 10:34

outofvision says:

wow, all your pictures are amazing, really! love them.
oh, and the other new song you're looking for might[!] be A Fortnights Time :)

18th Nov 2006, 12:15

elenarendezvous says:

outofvision: Thanks a lot :) I think this is not the song I´m looking for. I heard it at youtube and I think it is not what they played here. I´m still searching, but thanks anyway :)

18th Nov 2006, 14:12

clara says:

Was it "Russian Literature"Elena?
That's a very powerful song, they don't play it often at shows.
Your show report's great, when I met Paul at the London show he wondered if he'd seen me before,so don't worry about the look he gave you!I heard a rumour that he's had a stalker,so has to be careful. No,it's not you!!
Show sounded great and very dramatic.Maybe the song was "Once,A Glimpse,"or "Going Missing"?

18th Nov 2006, 16:16

char says:

You're review of the gig really made me smile. Maybe next year when I have a job, I'll plan a holiday and go and see them in spain for I feel there will never again be an intimate maximo park gig in this country. I really can see why Paul would be the kind of guy to get a stalker, he's quite nice and comes across as approachable. It's a shame really to say that you can be too nice. Hope she's a nice stalker for you Paul and not a bunny boiler. Xx

18th Nov 2006, 20:00

clara says:

@Elena....yes,it seems so.
@Char-there might be some smaller park gigs over here next year,I reckon there will be,to promote the new album.

18th Nov 2006, 21:13

clara says:

@Elena-was that song called "Rosemary"?

18th Nov 2006, 21:14

elenarendezvous says:

haha, yes it is, but more polite. We never talk that way, we best say: Hola, ¿como estais?

Paul: listen and repeat :)

19th Nov 2006, 16:04

anon says:

paul has a stalker now

19th Nov 2006, 16:23

lizziepants says:

ooo... sooooo envious Elena.

19th Nov 2006, 16:25

elenarendezvous says:

@anon: that was for me?
@converse: if you are spanish you can recognize a bad accent, and even more and english accent. It´s the same that when you hear a spanish talking a bad english, you know only hearing one word :)

And yessss, bukowski is my ´little helper´, it helps me to see my life clearer. I love post office too, and totally love Notes of a Dirty Old Man and Women. Buk is great :)

19th Nov 2006, 17:57

19th Nov 2006, 17:58

anon says:

or put up with stalkers

19th Nov 2006, 17:58

19th Nov 2006, 18:07

anon says:

he doesn't care?

19th Nov 2006, 18:09

anonymous says:

19th Nov 2006, 18:10

anon says:

i was asking you what you meant about he doesn't care at the moment.

19th Nov 2006, 18:16

anonymous says:

as I've said you hear a lot and most of it since this year.
maybe he thinks "so what?!" you know. I might be wrong but I seem to remember he was different.

19th Nov 2006, 18:18

anon says:

maybe,but no-one really knows.

19th Nov 2006, 18:31

it's rumours. you (and here I presume you're the "anon" who brought the stalker thing up) asked.

19th Nov 2006, 18:33

19th Nov 2006, 18:36

clara says:

Hi girls!Wow,just been reading this thread.Heady stuff!

19th Nov 2006, 18:43

clara says:

Hey Converse!I do see a few headcases on here..
@elena-good question.I wish I knew!!

19th Nov 2006, 19:07

clara says:

But maybe nutters, stalkers and groupies are all one and the same?
People can get very confused about the three types, especially on this Blog.

19th Nov 2006, 19:13

clara says:

Hi Elena! You're a lovely normal person, not one of the aforementioned nutters on here
Too many of those I think .

19th Nov 2006, 19:20

clara says:

To be frank Converse,I couldn't possibly say.But I feel they could all be one and the same, having thought about it.

19th Nov 2006, 19:22

clara says:

It's the anonymouses that scare me the most(shivers)

19th Nov 2006, 19:29

clara says:

Well, there are/always have been/alot of anonys on this Blog
in both categories. It goes back a long way.Still applies. It's a flaw in the system.

19th Nov 2006, 19:32

clara says:

65 comments on this thread, and not one mention of the white trousers.
Must break the record. Will have to go and eat now.See you all in a while.

19th Nov 2006, 19:39

clara says:

Just answer this q
@elena-yes,I'm going off them a bit.I liked the black ones he wore in Spain.

@converse: you're not a groupie, you're lucky! :D well, maybe a bit of a groupie too ;) but you haven't seen them 2o times or something like that..

19th Nov 2006, 20:10

outofvision says:

sorryyyy, my definition of groupie doesn't include the slut-part, ok? :D

19th Nov 2006, 20:15

outofvision says:

err, well, wasn't that what it said basically?! confused.

19th Nov 2006, 20:21

outofvision says:

ok then i meant sluts = the sleeping with the band thing.
well. umm! interesting discussion, isn't it?

19th Nov 2006, 20:31

outofvision says:

seems like we did.. i'm not sure why though! :P

19th Nov 2006, 20:40

clara says:

I'm back-I'd hate to be a groupie.A really shallow life.
Imagine if you got really involved with one of the band members and it didn't work out..very painful.

19th Nov 2006, 20:43

clara says:

@oov-I've been meaning to ask you-what type of cat is yours? Is he a moggy or particular breed?

19th Nov 2006, 20:53

outofvision says:

@converse: i will deny it! :P

i'm off for today, we are scientists tomorrow! yay!

19th Nov 2006, 20:54

outofvision says:

@clara: err.. just a "normal" cat? :D

19th Nov 2006, 20:54

clara says:

Cheers,Hella!
I'm off now,night night(yawns)

19th Nov 2006, 20:55

char says:

Oh my God. I'm afraid and may truly stop coming on here. Was some anon person just having a mental conversation with themselves...anyway, I would like to say:
Seeing a band lots of times makes you dedicated and neither a groupie/nutter/slut/stalker

Commenting on who someone has or hasnt Sh*gg*d makes you jealous (we've all done it)

Groupies get a bad press.

Joking aside if someone is stalking the band this is very unfair for the rest of us. If they leave the country I will be pissed off.

20th Nov 2006, 16:46

clara says:

Maybe the moderator should have come on and stopped that conversation?

20th Nov 2006, 17:32

Converse says:

Isn't it possible to ban anonymous persons from posting on here, maybe that would help.

20th Nov 2006, 17:36

char says:

I truly think the moderators are just despairing at all of this. And even if you stopped anons people could just make up a name.

20th Nov 2006, 19:35

char says:

Touche moblog...I just tried to post a comment as Paul Smith to prove a point and it didnt let me. Slightly concerning though as Im sure Ive read comments "from" said person... Xx

20th Nov 2006, 19:36

Converse says:

Of course they could, but I do think that the use of names would be a small obstacle and therefore would prevent some people from posting. It's a psychological thing.

20th Nov 2006, 19:38

char says:

No it isnt your fault. People werent saying anythign to do with what the anon twins started talking about. Xx

20th Nov 2006, 19:39

char says:

good point converse. Im just worried cos i hardley ever seem able to sign in properly! Xx

20th Nov 2006, 19:40

Converse says:

@ elena: It's not your fault! Your pictures were great and it's a shame that weird anons 'destroy' this moblog.

20th Nov 2006, 19:40

anonymous says:

Anonymous: Don't talk about what you don't know, specially in a place where the band can read the stupid comments you write.

21st Nov 2006, 08:29

clara says:

Hahaha-sorry to laugh and make light of this, but that post of 8.29?Now that IS scary.
@Char,I remember a few months back on here there was a lame remark about groupies and Paul made by a male poster who shall remain nameless. It all got rather immature and I just went along with it.Whoever it was, posted as Paul and we all knew it wasn't him really,he wouldn't make such posts.
Seems this kind of thing happens on most blogs.I've witnessed it on here before.

21st Nov 2006, 11:03

clara says:

Your pix are ideal for posters, btw,Elena.Christmas presents!
