"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

O Rose, thou art sick!
The Invisible worm,
That flies in the night,
In the howling storm,
Has found out thy bed
Of Crimson joy;
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.
* I realise it is not a rose...but this poem sprang into my head when I saw the pic :-)
So beautiful and so very apt, P. Thank you. It's just the right note and narrative. :)
continuing the story !
Hope to get to see your prints hung - you were my number one! Congrats on the win.
Strangely - I'll be in London for the first time in a couple of years but not at the exhibition - at a wedding! Would like to get to see the pics displayed though. D's asked for my autumn pics too - so they might get printed.
Will be meeting up with a few who are down on Fri - so meeting Nige and Joker for the first time.
Looks cold out there - more miserable here than cold. Moblog seems a bit quiet too - maybe we've all realised the speed that Christmas is advancing!
:D A wedding, how exciting! I wish I could be at the exhibition. It will be wonderful for you to meet Nige and Joker. :)
I loved your Autumn pics, they were number one with us, and I truly thought they'd win. I hope they show at the exhibition.
It's very cold here. I've noticed the quiet too, it's probably a combination of winter and holidays. Have fun in London!
