Today we're presenting our front cover girl. With any luck I should be able
to be finished with everything today and then it will be up to Val to get
the file together and over to the printer. Almost there!

Support the lime project. Help Heather. Buy a calendar.

I bet - you've set her eyes off brilliantly on this

bronxelf says:

Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't do any more without duplicating people until Andrew gets me more files. :(

you're taking a break then?

ha - as if...

bronxelf says:

No, I have Mara's photos to edit. Then it's all in Val's hands. I have to get the printer set up by Tuesday and then we're at the printers.

bronxelf says:

You do know that's not the actual cover, right? It's just a promo image.

MaggieD says:

If the promo images are this good .... then the real thing ...WOW!

8th Dec 2006, 19:03

bronxelf says:

Thanks. I've done my best to make sure all the models look as good as I can make them.

MaggieD says:

Sounds like you have been working your socks off over this .... and you have had such a wealth of talent to work with ...

8th Dec 2006, 19:19

bronxelf says:

It has been, and contiues to be, a lot of work. However this phase (which is difficult because it's time sensitive) is finally coming to a close. I'll be much happier after that to work on some non-time sensitive stuff for a while.

8th Dec 2006, 19:23

MaggieD says:

... and hopefully get a bit of R&R; ... you and D are two of a kind .... most caring, loving, hardworking ..... and in need of a break ...

8th Dec 2006, 19:35

bronxelf says:

Well thank you. Unfortunately, there's no break coming. Aside from other things that I need to do for the lime project after this, I really need to get a job at a good firm in the upcoming year. I need the restaurant gigs and I need a steady paycheck and medical insurance.

I have seen this link on Reddit and got here somehow. I feel really bad saying this, but the promo pics don't really help. This is going to sound incredibly rude but I don't mean it to be... You'd sell more calendars by posting actual images from the calendar with naughty bits blakced out or pixelized with Photoshop. People I think want to know they're getting nudity (exposed erogenous zones) and the promo images are only suggestive.

13th Dec 2006, 23:29

bronxelf says:

You're not rude, but it's not going to happen. We've made a decision about the promo images, and it stands.

We've sold just shy of 300 calendars already, so obviously some people know what they're getting.

"so obviously some people know what they're getting."
Yes -- they're getting a shot at donating to an excellent cause. I am just suggesting that there are probably some who are willing to donate, however, but are buying the calendar primarily for nudity. The promos indicate that that's not what the calendar's about, and I only "got" this after reading your post... I am sorry to have been dense :-/

16th Dec 2006, 06:32

bronxelf says:

The thing is, if the reason theyre dontating is primarily for nudity then there's a zillion calendars already out there that are marketed to them, filled with women who get paid (not for charity) to be naked.

The women may be naked but that's not the primary purpose. The purpose is to raise the money for Heather. It's not that I don't get your point, but as I replied to the original reddit post about the project when it went up, we made a decision at the beginning that the site and all promotional images would be work-safe. I don't see any way to change this that a) doesn't look like absolute crap (were we to "bur erogenous zones? it makes us all look like an episode of COPS. No.) and if we show straight nudity on the site, then we cut out the largest segment of people viewing the site in the first place- people surfing from work. We'd also need the persmission of the models. Out of 14 women who actually got naked, my guess would be that MAYBE two would agree to that.

And for what? To try to capture a very small segment of the population looking for free wanjk material? Dude. There's a whole internet's worth.

Again I totally see where yu're coming from. There's a planned site update to put all the first round promo pics up and I'll make sure the text indicates that these are not the calendar images but just the promos. I can even ask our site designer to add it to the site FAQ. It just never occurred to me this would be confusing.
