the ticket is for the standing area so why does it need the warning
about people standing?

More importantly, was it a good gig? I missed the Mozfather at V this year ... had tough choices to make come headliner-time.

The opening was a bit strange, old B&W; films, like the 1964 Italian Eurovision entry, an old French musical film.

On the whole it was very good, nice mix of the old Smiths stuff and his later songs. What I did find strange was the number of kids there. I know that late teens students are in to Morrissey because he is trendy (even thought they weren't born when he started out) and wear Meat is Murder Tshirts, but there were people late 30's early 40's who will remember him from the Smiths who were there with their kids ranging from 4 or 5 to 11+

He was quite scathing about the culture show icon thing, being up against 'Sir' Paul McCartload & 'Sir' David Attenborough

I didn’t notice it being especially loud.
But some bloke did go for a wee on the floor near me which was nice, I moved.
