Alfie says:

Dude. Sorry to hear it, it just means that they didnt get that you were *obviously* the best person for the role, they probably had something like "Must have a lifelong love of diecast model cars" as a pre-requisite for hiring.

14th Dec 2006, 20:37

LOL Alfie, I am pissed because I quite fancied the job. It looked like it could be interesting.

never mind on to the next one. Another interview on Monday...

14th Dec 2006, 21:06

Thanks guys...

I'm a great believer in fate so I guess my dream job as a spandex wearing, ferret juggling unicyclist will become reality....

14th Dec 2006, 21:15

EVILMINK269 says:

Can I be your barker? While you're riding the unicycle I'll wear a monkey suit :D

14th Dec 2006, 21:18

EVILMINK, you got yourself a deal..

Do you think we could get away with selling snake oil between performances?

14th Dec 2006, 21:24

paintist says:

sorry about the job SFG...
and I couldnt find the ferrets..

14th Dec 2006, 21:37

You've seen my act before then P?

14th Dec 2006, 21:41

swamprose says:

I already promised Dhamaka I would be her roadie, but this looks really promising.

14th Dec 2006, 21:55

Twiglet says:

I wanted you to get that job for selfish reasons. You said the interview was in Owestry and that is where Wilfred Owen the poet was born. In my mind the place has all the romantism of English literature.... regardless of what it is really like. I thought if you get the job you'll enrich your blog with photos and anecdotes and the like and my life will be enriched no end!! Owen also lived in Shrewsbury and Birkenhead so please see what you can find in these locations....

Please don't shatter my illusions by telling me that Owestry is the insertion point for a UK enema...

540air says:

Dude, sorry you didn't get it. Like Alfie says, obviously means you were the best candidate. Fingers crossed you get something soon and good luck on Monday :)

"Uk enema" hahahahahahahaha :D

14th Dec 2006, 23:49

Dhamaka says:

Go for it on Monday. This lot will regret their choice. Let us know

15th Dec 2006, 01:27

Cheers guys...

The interview on Monday is for a job working in Shrewsbury Twiglet.. How strange is that..

And as they say, I'm sure Oswestry has a lovely personality...

15th Dec 2006, 06:43

Twiglet says:

Shrewsbury....Here we come!

15th Dec 2006, 06:52

Euphro says:

That's frustrating to have got so close :(

15th Dec 2006, 06:54

JokerXL says:

Bummer, their loss.

15th Dec 2006, 11:04

Thanks guys..

I asked for feed back from the interviews and what I could do better and got this:

"It's quite difficult as the only feedback i can give you is positive. It was a very close run thing.

Perhaps a minor thing would be to stand if you are presenting anything, even if only to 1 or 2 persons. Other than that there is nothing negative i can raise, which is probably frustrating for you to hear but hopefully encouraging."

15th Dec 2006, 11:11

that is indeed a bummer, sfg.

but that feedback seems fairly encouraging - so close, yet so far...

good luck for monday!
