[all photos are taken on Mr Mobile]
i was just coming on here to say my dad would love that but alas the lady of paint has beaten me to it. :)
great loking watch tho! :)
Jump Dial Watch. Looks a little like a Mimo..
What Alfie says
It's an art deco style mechanical digital watch made in the 20s - just back from the repairers after 4 months languishing in their workshop, hence deep joy of being reunited. The top window shows the hour, the middle one the minutes, the bottom one the seconds. The underlying technology is based on revolving discs.
The day I got married in Derry City it started going nuts, despite the fact there's no electricity involved. It's been a little on the eccentric side ever since but accuracy is not the be all and end all (actually it seems to be behaving again with Virgoan precision since its return from exile in Clerkenwell, touch wood).
I am certain it does....guinness is deadly to watches....send it to me MrP only drinks lager, a much safer drink for watch wearers ;-p
What is the brand?
It dates from that golden era when brands were not a big deal - so it doesn't say and i don't know...
This is waaaay belated, but I found some close-ups of that line of watches. I can't post the links, but I found them by googling: "Jump Dial" mimo
I never saw such a watch until today! How wonderfully designed! And the close-up on the second watch museum picture was especially yummy.
