What will your camera be taking photographs in Ottawa? Nice of it to take Robert along.
Glad you're feeling better!

Robert has been working for about a year on a performance project about Canadians in WW1. can't find the lens cap or figure out how to turn the effing flash back on...

factotumNLI says:

if your camera is like mine, you've turned off the flash by turning the mode selection wheel on the top of the camera all the way clockwise. Try puutting it back to AUTO?

nice amaryllis. Must see what mine are doing..

if your camera's like mine you can't have the option of taking multiple shots and have the flash working..

I feel really strange having my camera gone. I found the lens cap and figured out the flash. So it's off to Ottawa with Robert for this next week. And I got to bark like a seal for him while explaining the camera. How impressive.

My amaryllis is particularly lush this year. Usually I choose red, but this year white seemed better with no snow around as counterpoint..

robert, old article but it has a photo

Glad to hear you got to perform your barking seal routine for Robert. Must be lovely being able to impress with your many talents ;-) Seriously, glad to hear you're getting better. Nothing like having a cold when you'd rather be outside playing.

I like that top shot. It's possibly slightly out of focus but all the more subtle for it (or perhaps it's my eyesight that's out of focus, don't be annoyed!).

8th Jan 2007, 12:41

swamprose says:

OJ, it's me. I am out of focus, evidently, on a fairly permanent basis. I just liked the light on the petals in that shot.

annoyed? not me. delighted you noticed the fine detail of my fuzziness.

8th Jan 2007, 13:56

OJ says:

Oh good. And I do like it, it's a fuzzy focus flower to fall asleep in, like a fairy.

Oh dear. You can tell I wish it wasn't Monday.

PR, thinking of you. I wish you lots of light.

Hi SR-

Remember I mentioned that I was chatting to some school kids in the UK... we've made the moblog open now... thought you might like a look and chat with the kids... www.moblog.co.uk/blog/weatherwatch

The school's head teacher and I share the name 'weatherwatch' on this blog. The kids are 8-9 years old and a real blast! :-)

g'day jesson. I will check it out. I am just hibernating these days.

19th Jan 2007, 12:58

Jesson says:

considering the weather, I can see that must be a very appealing option!

I got my a/c fixed today and hibernating from the 40+ temps expected over the weekend is equally appealing. That God for a/c!

19th Jan 2007, 13:02

swamprose says:

hey J. just checked out the site. Can someone give the UK kids a camera? where are they?

19th Jan 2007, 13:06

JEsson says:

HI SR- just heard from D and have passed on contact info to her for the school. The Head TEacher knows better than I what they need. Thanks for the offer. Much appreciated. :-)
