Yesterday, some of you asked me what houses are like where I live. Here are some of the homes near me. Some are very small and reasonably cheap and some of the others are a lot more expensive. (about A$300 000 to A$550 000). If you move closer to Sydney, these houses would be a lot more expensive
because land is cheaper the further you get from Sydney.Because we live in the bush, most of our homes are free standing rather than joined to other homes, but we do have a few flats and townhouses. You'll also notice that many of the homes are not on flat land- that's because the
mountains are quite steep and there's very little flat land to build on.
Most of these homes have 3 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, laundry (in a separate room, not in the kitchen) and a living room. Some houses might have other rooms in them too like a family room for the kids to play in, a study for people to work in (many people in Australia now work from home at least
part of the time), extra bathrooms and storage rooms. So how are our homes different from yours?
