So with the terrible local band Koopa entering the top 40 last week it looks
like my long term plan of getting myself a hit single has taken a step
closer. Inspired by both nature and boredom produced by being ill I went out
into the garden just now and created some Art. Next step; find a chart
elligible online store to sell it, step after that, get you all to buy it,
step after that is bask in the glory of having got the most genuinely
terrible piece of non-music in the official, actual, proper charts.

Live the dream, people!

Send word to the "blog-o-sphere" as this is just the
sort of lame shit they get off on!

(by the way, there are some elements of my song that could be considered not safe for work. Just sayin'.)

HAHAHAHA Fantastic!!!!

That sir, is a definite number 1, if we can get "da yoof" to hear it.

Oddly enough I think I might have access to a chart eligible online store, which could prove fun....

540air says:

As for Koopa? The one with the long hair and stubble loves himself plenty, but the other two are ok. Their sound is like you'd expect really looking at them, but a guy I work with is their publisher (I think), so he should make a few squids from them getting top 40.

Rich says:

Yeah, fair play to them for actually doing it. I'm thinking of recording a few more tracks first to further perfect my art, so if anyone has a good title I will work my magic on it. Or if you want to hear a favourite song murdered, I'm your man.

Glancing across the internet it looks like it'd cost about £75 to get something that would be elligible in about 22 countries, so we could be looking at something on a global scale here...

Maybe you could help the middle east peace process with some soothing words of wisdom?

540air says:

I can sell the masterpieces through when they are ready and I don't think it will cost a penny if I've worked it out right.

Look out world here comes the Lurve Warlord....

How about a cover of your blog title?

540: Interesting. I've been looking at Amie St, which has an interesting model. Dunno why, I've only made three tracks and two remixes, and most of them are a) pretty bad and b) very niche.

18th Jan 2007, 17:53

Rich says:

please, please please remix me noon. We need a B-side. I also inadvertantly captured a great sample when I was testing the microphone. I'll upload it later. 540: that's superb, we'll need to get the online campaign rolling first I reckon but once that's started, boomshanka.

540air says:

We used 7digital to sell the download copies of Peter Brame's single last summer. I'd never heard of the site before, but apparently once we'd signed up it means we have a "shop window" there and can add as many songs as we like.

If you like, I can try to find out some more info for you.

18th Jan 2007, 18:02

Rich says:

yes, that's kind of the point.

Some people just look on the surface, they don't look deep deep down..

Hmm maybe a little deeper...
