I'm surprised and impressed by the power of the winds,.Usually windstorms here break off branches or split trees at forks; I've rarely seen trees uprooted like this.I hope troubles don't come in threes.

Unbelieveable! We get similar results when a cyclone dumps 300mm in a very short time, followed by >200km winds.

Increasing wind speeds & storms, a depressingly predictable effect of people sitting on their fat arses in cars all day or not being able to see that their 'need' to spend a fortnight in Florida is, in the great scheme of things, not only wholly unimportant but actually stupid, irresponsible, selfish, myopic & drowning their grandchildren.. Or their simple, witless, inablitity to turn off lights...

But hey, let's not be party poopers, Mr Tony thinks we're going to invent magic aeroplanes that will whisk us round the globe on non-polluting angel farts, as far as I can make out.

I do think that the time for politeness is over when it comes to climate change.
