Knowledge pursues me but I am faster.......

If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit.......

.......One day, we will look back on this, laugh nervously, and change the subject…

Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages.

Thought that it would be fun
If we all photo blogged our jugs
For the delight of everyone.

Size and shape don't matter,
And nor do age or hue,
Just get them out and show them,
We'd really like you to.

Let there be no confusion,
I must just make it clear
Our jugs are all ceramic
(No nasty fleshpots here!)

Have been having fun showing a friend the delights of photoshop.

I actually have a lovely cat cartoon jug that Jenny (Alex's mum) gave me for my birthday, I will blog it when I get my camera back.

This is brilliant! (and makes me think of all the hawking lines we used when I sold my pottery at the renaissance faire. The girls were constantly asking everyone to "come look at my fine jugs!"

You guys are too much. =D

Thanks folks ....
YH .... Being brought up in the radical feminist era, I always feel a little uneasy about this type of humour, however, I do feel the joke is on any 'drooling perv'' who come looking for anything other than ceramic pots ..... plus I really am incredibly childish at heart :)

19th Jan 2007, 16:12

yourhermione says:

it worked really well for selling mugs to dorky guys carrying plastic cups of beer, though. I made 90% of my sales on mugs. (but more fun to call them jugs.)

In keeping with the forecasted weather it was much more of a freeze (sp) .... a marbellous contribution to ancient art ....

MaggieD says:

20th Jan 2007, 19:37

nige says:

El Gin? Marbles?

20th Jan 2007, 23:38

MaggieD says:

Nige, yes, the Elgin Marbles .... there was a school trip to the British Museum recently .... actually the pick was inspired more by the generic rather than the specific .... just ancient greek friezes with women carrying large pots/jugs .... it was the Elgin marbles that put me in mind of them .... :)
