I'm with you on that, but i love trying it three times - I usually find by the third time, despite not really doing anything different, things taste at their absolute best.
I've been making my Sunday Roast more and more cosily from scratch, including making stock with the bones at the end for the gravy for the next week. yum!
This was actually made a couple weeks ago but I've been crap about finally blogging it.
It had salmon and smoked haddock in it.
Sean..I'll make it a few more times. THis was by no means totally right. Too much sauce for one and not enough potatoe for another. I have some more salmon and I bought some nice cod to try the recipe again. Got some nice strong chedder too.
I've been getting more and more comfortable with cooking complex things. I've always been a good cook. Made a living of it at one point. But that's nothing compared to creating my own recipes and trying complex things like puff pastry.
Still I really enjoy it and keep trying more and more complex stuff anfd creating more new food.
