Ah, there's my question answered in a very convincing and visual way. That's wonderful and aptly named :)

25th Jan 2007, 23:03

swamprose says:

thanks Euphro. I wasn't sure about the science.
and D. gorgeous, but cold. so cold.

25th Jan 2007, 23:05

nige says:

thats beautiful. lovely.

25th Jan 2007, 23:17

swamprose says:

nige, I didn't think they were beautiful. I was just so surprised by what the condensation from the lake could do...different eyes make it all interesting.

25th Jan 2007, 23:27

Caine says:

Beautiful. I like these a lot.

26th Jan 2007, 04:20

paintist says:

Sprocket says:

nature's natural ice-pops, I wonder what flavour they are?

*licks*

euch!

sticks to strawberry mivi's

27th Jan 2007, 00:40

swamprose says:

sprocket, what's a mivi?

27th Jan 2007, 12:01

FilbertFox says:

lovely pics and subject. And as usual a giggle caused by Sprocket!

A mivi is an ice lollopop, vanilla ice cream in the middle with flavoured ice on the outside.

27th Jan 2007, 15:01

Sprocket says:

and them's is deelish. :-)

27th Jan 2007, 20:01

FilbertFox says:

yup

27th Jan 2007, 20:27

nige says:

i'd rather have a mini milk, i reckon...

27th Jan 2007, 20:29

FilbertFox says:

i like those spiral ones, twisters i think they are called, although mini milk are good

27th Jan 2007, 20:31

Sprocket says:

Twisters are the green ones - no, don't like those.

But of course Magnum wins outright. No more bets.

27th Jan 2007, 20:32

FilbertFox says:

i raise you the green and blacks version. check mate (mixing games here)

27th Jan 2007, 20:33

Sprocket says:

Have neither seen nor tasted the G&B; version - but I bet it would win.

27th Jan 2007, 20:53

FilbertFox says:

it does, no contest

27th Jan 2007, 21:26

swamprose says:

okay guys. I work all day and check the blog and thank you FF, I now can imagine a mivi. Can someone just take a shot of what all the other stuff is--just stick the camera/phone in the freezer and take a shot? I promise I will do the same here. We have a whole different language, different stuff. Frozen stuff is not selling well right now.

27th Jan 2007, 23:26

swamprose says:

the Way of Ice got a HL. woohoo.
thanks. still a thrill.

the way of HL is so much more mysterious.

28th Jan 2007, 00:09

Dhamaka says:

ahh.. a HL
about time
:D

28th Jan 2007, 01:14

Rick says:

Congrats on the HL! The thickness and clarity of the ice on the top shot is fabulous! The open water so close to that ice coat is stunning, really pretty.

28th Jan 2007, 03:42

factotum says:

Frozen stuff not selling well? Except for Melona bars which I eat all year around. They're great for sore throats.

Where's that? Lake Huron?

29th Jan 2007, 09:39

*jaw drops*

Stunning photos swampy. I was wondering if you guys would feel some of that ice storm. I'm guessing the roads/pavements were a bit treacherous though?

1st Feb 2007, 07:50

swamprose says:

jetblack--it's the shores of Lake Ontario, right in the middle of the city of Toronto.

and RAB, yes it was icy, but unlike BC, it is expected and although a few cars slide into each other, ice and sleet don't dent life much. but it has been COLD, and not much snow. unlike beautiful BC.:)
