I did hand over a whopping 20 rupees to a very small girl who wouldn't stop clinging to my leg, on condition that she 'leave me alone'. It worked. Unfortunately, when Sunil tried the same with her little brother, he just clung on tighter and wanted more. It was a bit horrible. Such determined little things.
