The kidlet got her black belt today. This follows more than 7 years of hard work, and as some of you know she is currently on a medical restriction against working out. This means she was unable to fight today and instead presented a hand form that she created. This is a collage of pictures from over the many years, a larger version can be seen on flickr.

Wow! You must all be really proud. I hope she can fight again soon. Looks like she's loving those weapons forms.

Thanks everyone :)

She has enjoyed the weapons, bo staff fighting looks impressive even though it isn't overly practical in day to day life since she rarely carries around a staff. She has created a couple of weapon forms as well, but her doctor would not clear her to do a weapon form, he was a little hesitant about letting her even do the hand form. He wants her to concentrate only on PT for now, but luckily he is a sports medicine specialist and understands the importance. Plus his daughter takes kung fu too.
